There is a new makerspace opening up in Montreal, located not far from Foulab. They have open houses on Wed. evenings, go on down and say hello. Information can be found here.

A Halloween party? Don’t mind if we do. Come one come all for an unforgettable evening of scary high-tech stuff and exciting company of friendly neighbourhood cyberpunks.
Come dressed as hackers - or as whoever you want :)
Foulab is having it’s annual Halloween party on the 31st of October, starting at 19:00. This year, we’re doing an Orphan Black theme. That’s anything science related, bio related, conspiracy related or who needs themes anyways? Costumes, candy, and the usual Foulab Mad Science will be afoot.
As usual, a 5$ donation is encouraged to cover food and beverages. Costumes are, as always, also encouraged.

Ever wondered what mushrooms really are or wanted to learn how to grow them? Fungi are a delicious addition to any meal, and there are so many more edible species than what’s available in most stores. Participants will learn about fungi and how to grow them and will go home with a jar of mushroom spawn they prepared themselves which will grow into beautiful mushrooms

Do you have any old electronic junk you want to get rid of? Do you like sorting through piles of old junk for cool stuff? Then you should come to Foulab’s Junk Independence Day on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from noon to 5 PM. Drop off any and all electronics you don’t want and/or take some cool stuff. You don’t need to leave junk to take junk! Junk is free for all!
On Tuesday, October 8 at 4 PM, any leftover junk will be taken to the Ecocentre for recycling.
