Cleaning and Organization Day - Sunday September 6th @ 12:00 - 20:00
We’ll be gathering on this date to clean and organize Foulab. If you’ve ever been to Foulab, you know this is no small task. The more people, the merrier. To show our appreciation, we’ll order pizza for the cleaning and organization crew.
No Net Night - Tuesday September 8th @ 18:30 - 23:00
No Net Nights are a monthly ritual where we gather to do activities in the lab that don’t require Internet access. It is a good time to socialize with Foulabbers, host a LAN party, check out the retro-computing museum or our library.
Origami Night - Thursday September 10th @ 20:00 - 22:00
On the open night of September 10th, we’ll be doing some origami (the Japanese art of folding paper). This event is for those who want to learn origami and people who are already origami enthusiasts.

We will discuss Foulab business during the open night of September 15th, 2026.
All of our meetings are open to the public, so even if you are not a member, you are welcome to attend the meeting and learn how we operate. It is also a great opportunity to become involved.
Ninth SPVM Surveillance Discussion - Thursday September 17th @ 20:00 - 22:00
This is our ninth meeting to discuss the SPVM plans to employ AI surveillance tools. This meeting occurs on an open night so anybody who is present is encouraged to learn about what is happening and participate in the discussion.
Free Software Social - Thursday September 24th @ 19:00 - 22:00
Linux, BSD, Firefox, Python, Signal, Git. This is the night to chat to about your favourite non-commercial and open-source software. Install Linux (or an even more obscure free OS!), get help from the community, or drop by to hang out with other free software enthusiasts.
This event was formerly known as the Linux social, the name has changed to reflect that all non-commercial and non-proprietary systems are welcome, except those written by fascists of course.
The event starts at 19h (7pm), allowing time for people to settle in and socialize. At 20h (8pm) we will host a round of lightning talks. Anyone is welcome to present any FOSS-related topic in less than 5 minutes. The theme is Show off your [set-up, hardware, tool you use, program you’ve made, anything you’re proud of]
Noise Hacking Night - Friday September 25th @ 20:00 - 23:00
This is a night dedicated to sound synthesis and mutation, using hardware and software. People are encouraged to bring their own noise-makers, plug them in, and join in on the noise-making mayhem!
These are some recordings from previous events.
Fediverse Night - Wednesday September 30th @ 19:00 - 22:00
This month’s Fediverse Night will be a special Fediverse Signup Night!
Join the Fediverse! Tonight! At Foulab! We’ll give a brief introduction to the Fediverse and then guide you through creating your first account and finding each other. Bring a laptop or smartphone.

We are no longer doing the Shop Nights on Mondays, so scratch them off of your calendars.
