November is here! As we get ready for the long winter ahead of us, come keep warm with your fellow hackers, as days draw short and long nights spent hacking grow longer…

Wednesday Mesh Evening - Wednesday November 5th @ 19:00 - 22:00

We continue with our monthly Mesh Night. It is a perfect opportunity to learn about and experiment with mesh networking technologies such as Meshtastic and Reticulum.

This presentation will occur during the Open Night in our theatre room.

No Net Night - Tuesday November 18th @ 18:30 - 23:00

No Net Nights at Foulab are a recurring monthly event where we simulate technical difficulties by unplugging our Internet connection. It is not a test and we’re not doing it to be annoying. In fact, it is a opportunity to enjoy the people at Foulab, the record collection, the library, the retro computing museum, a board game, or other activities of your choice (that don’t involve using our Internet connection).

Home Assistant Evening - Wednesday November 19th @ 19:00 - 22:00

Come and learn about and tinker with Home Assistant and other home automation technologies.

These nights are hosted each month on the third Wednesday of the month.

Hosted by photon303

Karaoke Night - Friday November 21st @ 19:30 - 23:00

Foulab will be hosting a karaoke night in November. So whether you are a crooner, a belter, or a warbler, come and sing a song (or enjoy the performers!).

Killed By Dice Presents: I/O the Human Machine - Sunday November 23rd @ 16:00 - 19:00

I/O the Human Machine is a role-playing game by Ron Edwards about moody cyborgs.

We will be playing a one-shot of it on Sunday, November 23rd, 2025.

Foulab Monthly Meeting - Tuesday November 25th @ 20:00 - 21:30

Foulab meetings are where we gather to discuss Foulab business, future plans, and provide updates on ongoing projects.

After our foundational restructuring last monthly meeting where we revolutionized and streamlined our bylaws into a much slimmer and more effective structure, we continue to iron out our policies.

Our meetings are open to the public so don’t be dissuaded from attending if you are not a member.

Fediverse Night - Wednesday November 26th @ 19:00 - 22:00

Whether you’re a developer of fediverse software, an instance admin, a user, or just fedi-curious, join us at the monthly Fediverse Night for discussion about decentralised social media.

This is a recurring thing, hosted on the last Wednesday of each month.

Hosted by n00q

Project Night - Thursday November 27th @ 19:30 - 22:00

Project Night returns. On this night, the Foulab community will gather to present projects that we’ve been working on.

Presentations can be formal or informal. Anybody is welcome to present a project, whether they are a regular or a newcomer. So please come by and see what people have been up to!

All of the events in November are free and open to the public, though donations our greatly appreciated.

As usual, Tuesdays and Thursdays are our Open Nights. These nights are always open to the public and unless the calendar says otherwise, there is no pre-planned activity on these nights.

We also have Workshop Nights on Monday, where people can work with our tools and equipment or help organize the work space.
