February is the year’s shortest longest month. Foulab has many events this month to help pass the time.
No Net Night - Tuesday February 3rd @ 18:30 - 23:00
We will commemorate the first open night of February by turning off the Internet. No Net Nights are a monthly ritual where we gather to do activities in the lab that don’t require Internet access. It is a good time to socialize with Foulabbers, host a LAN party, check out the retro-computing museum or our library.
Mesh Night - Wednesday February 4th @ 19:00 - 22:00
Mesh Nights are a recurring monthly event, hosted on the first Wednesday of each month. We will be talking about and experimenting with mesh networking technologies such as Meshtastic and Reticulum. Beginners are welcome to drop by, we are happy to answer your answers and demo our devices.
Hosted by photon303

Faircamp Workshop - Sunday February 22nd @ 16:00 - 19:00
From Spotify running ICE recruitment ads to Bandcamp’s union-busting efforts, navigating streaming options as a musician can feel like an ethical minefield. In this workshop we’ll take matters into our own hands by using a static site generator called Faircamp to build a simple website where fans can browse, stream or download your music.
This workshop is geared toward total beginners, no website building experience necessary. If you want to follow along during the workshop, homework is available here.
Fourth SPVM Surveillance Discussion - Tuesday February 24th @ 20:00 - 22:00
This is our fourth meeting to discuss the SPVM plans to employ AI surveillance tools. This meeting occurs on an open night so anybody who is present is encouraged to learn about what is happening and participate in the discussion.
Fediverse Night - Wednesday February 25th @ 19:00 - 22:00
Whether you’re a developer of fediverse software, an instance admin, a user, or just fedi-curious, join us at the monthly Fediverse Night for discussion about decentralised social media.
This is a recurring thing, hosted on the last Wednesday of each month.
